Kathleen practiced law for 30-plus years before realizing there was a book she needed to write. That book, They Called Us Girls: Stories of Female Ambition from Suffrage to Mad Men, a collection of biographical profiles of women whose professional careers broke barriers in the mid-20th century, was published in 2022. Now she is working on a book about women breaking barriers in the skilled manual trades.
